Pretty Pastels

Just a quick post to share some pretty things I've been arranging around the home for Easter...


The children decorated twigs with Easter decorations... lots of the homemade variety.

 
And some Sunday baking... R weighed all the ingredients and mixed the cake batter herself, before decorating when cooked.  It was a nice, quick chocolate sponge with nutella creamy filling covered in sprinkles, some edible flowers and lots of yummy milk chocolate.  She got to do it all herself whilst little B was at a friend's party.  She was so proud to present it as pudding at tea time.

In order to work off those extra calories I've been decluttering sporadically with a ruthless approach throughout the house - I laughed when I photographed it - I sent the picture to the hubby and said 'This is the 3rd pile like this to be going to the Charity Shop! - You'd be proud of me!'
 
 
It's Easter holidays here and five different birthdays over the next two weeks so I doubt I'll be getting much time to post on my little bit of cyber space.  I'll try to pop back but I'll definately be posting the Bedroom Ta Dah and our holiday fun when the hols are over.

    It's all looking very springlike and cheerful over there! I've been sorting out stuff for recycling here too - but I am useless at actually taking it to the charity shop!

      Me too normally! I keep clothing to use for cleaning cloths or bits of craft... everything has another use in my mind. But the hubby hit a wall (mainly made up of my clutter) so a token effort was made ;O) J9 x

    Look at that cake!! Yummy. I may have gained 2 lbs just looking at it! Good job with the de-cluttering. I was doing that on the weekend too. I took 4 bags to the charity shop and only I came home with one bag of purchases. So I came out ahead, right? ;)

      Ha ha - I came home with a jug, two tablecloths and a board game... Recycling is good for the environment right? J9 x

    Hey there - I love the cake! Where did you get those edible flowers? I am always looking for cute stuff like that and I can never find anything unique. Very cute!

      Hi! I think they were by the brand Dr Oetker? Do you have that? They do lots of our edible baking decorations over here. Good luck on your hunt! J9 x

    All of your Easter decor is so pretty...and what a cake. Lovely! I didn't do a thing to decorate. :( Good job purging too. I will be getting some boxes of stuff to the thrift store soon! Happy Easter!

    Hey Jo, my pre Easter mojo has got up and gone and I seem to be drowning in clutter again! The school holidays always seem to bring artistic chaos to our house! How could we possibly bin the junk models R made? She'd be traumatised... Hmmm. Some more resoluntion needed here! J9 x
